Visit the famous tourist sites in the two large cities!
Departing from Aomori city, go to Goshogawara and Tsugaru’s West Coast. In Ajigasawa, visit Shirakamino no Mori Yuzan Road and the Senjojiki coast, and then head to the Tsugaru Quasi-National Park Lake Juniko area. From there, head towards the Nishimeya area adjacent to the World Natural Heritage Area, and then, go to Hirosaki and Akita.

At Aomori fish and vegetables center in Furukawa market, you can get a bowl of donburi rice topped with your favorite toppings, like fish, which is called “Nokke-bowl” . You can make your own bowl to have a little of everything, or have it full of seafood and meat.

Aomori, especially Hirosaki city has a large number of cake shops and pastry shops that make apple pies. There is even a guide book that shows around 50 types of apple pies that can be found in Hirosaki city. All of them vary in shape and sweetness, and are made with original recipes. That’s why you should go out hunting for your very own favorite apple pie!

Inside the castle is a castle tower, 3 watch towers, and 5 castle gates that are still intact and preserved as important cultural properties. The castle tower and the stone walls are currently being mended and will be available in 2021. The area has outstanding scenery, and is also perfect for strolling and shopping.
