Talking about hot springs, referred to as onsen in Japanese, many people might say that they prefer open-air baths. Enjoying hot springs in the green season or autumn leaves season are nice of course, however, in Aomori, winter season is also recommended to enjoy hot springs with snow view in the winter’s clear air.

There is an indoor bath where you can soak in while enjoying the scenery outside, and an open-air bath of “konyoku” (mixed-gender bath). There are separate dressing rooms for men and women, and there is also time for women only, so women who are not good at mixed bathing can feel at ease.
