After a long winter, the long-awaited spring has come in Aomori Prefecture.
Most people might come up with cherry blossoms in Hirosaki Park when you talk about Aomori’s spring. However, there are many other blossom viewing spots in the prefecture, and they start to bloom around mid to late April.

Hirosaki City: The world’s longest cherry-lined road
The 6500 Oyama cherry trees lined along approximately 20km-road, as well as a promenade with the view of moss phlox will make you enjoy a stroll.

[Access] Take a bus of Karekidai Line (via Hyakuzawa) for approx. 40 minutes from the Konan Bus terminal in front of the JR Hirosaki Station, get off at the Iwakisan-Sogo-Koen bus stop.
Mutsu City: Kasamai Ohata Cherry Blossom Road
It is a tree-lined road of about 1400 cherry blossom trees stretching for about 8 km along Route 279.

[Access] From JR Shimokita Station, take Shimokita Koutsu Bus bound for Ohata station, approx. 30 minute-ride to the last stop. Approx. A 10-minute walk from the bus stop (around Asahina bridge)
Towada City: Kanchogai-Dori (The governmental district street), Komakaido
The 165 Pine trees and 156 cherry trees are planted over a 1.1 km-street.

[Access] From JR Tohoku Shinkansen, Shichinohe-Towada Station, take Towada Kanko Dentetsu Bus, bound for Sanbongi Eigyosyo, approx. 30 minute-ride to Kanchogai-Dori. In a minute from the bus stop.
Hachinohe City: Cherry blossom lined-road in East-Reien
A hidden cherry blossom spot next to Hachinohe City East Athletic Park. The Yoshino cherry trees surround the park.
[Access] Take JR from Hachinohe Station to Mutsu-Minato Station and walk for approx. 3-minute.
And take a bus bound for Misaki-dai Danchi from Kaminakamichi to Kita High School Street bus stop. A 12-minute walk from the bus stop.
Aomori City: Cherry blossom tunnel at Sakuragawa
One of Aomori’s hidden treasures with beautiful blossoms is also known as the viewing spot to reach the cherry blossom front first in Aomori City.
