Lake Juniko consists of 33 lake and ponds that are scattered in the western part of the World natural Heritage Site Shirakami-Sanchi.
One of the them is called Aoike (literally “blue pond”), the surface of which is enchantingly shining and beautiful, like blue ink melting.
