The Hirosaki Episcopal Anglian Ascension Church is a protestant church established in 1896 as a place to introduce Christianity. The church is a member of The Diocese of Northeast of the Anglican-Episcopal church in Japan that belongs to The Church of England. Current church was built in 1921. James Gardiner who also designed the St John’s Church, a national important cultural property, in Aichi Prefecture, designed it. It is a redbrick, Gothic-style church.
