Geographical character of Aomori Prefecture is unique that the land is surrounded by sea on the three sides and has Hakkoda Mountains in the middle, and it gives different climate and customs for each region and birth and development of various history and culture. Aomori Prefecture has many historical architectures and sites where visitors can feel its culture and history, and also has passed on the traditional festivals and local performing arts, including Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival in spring, Nebuta Festival in summer and Hacninohe Enburi in winter.
