Today we want to introduce sightseeing spots in the Towns of Imabetsu and Sotogahama, and Yomogita Village.
Imabetsu Town
Michi-no-Eki Imabetsu – Penninsula Plaza Asukuru
The Michi-no-Eki (roadside rest area) Imabetsu is annexed to Okutsugaru-Imabetstu Station of Hokkaido Shinkansen bullet train or Tsugaru-Futamata Station of JR Tsugaru Line, and it is useful facility for visitors providing information for Okutsugaru sightseeing.
They have local products and souvenir to buy and also there is a restaurant serving “Imabetsu beef”, which is branding product of the town, and local food “Mozuku Udon (a type of thick wheat noodle containing mozuku, a kind of seaweed)”.

Sotogahama Town
Cape Tappizaki
Cape Tappizaki is located at the end of the Tsugaru Peninsula and is windy area where the average annual wind speed is 10 m/s.
Nearby, there are interesting sightseeing spots that bring a bunch of tourists, such as the Japan’s only national staircase highway, National Route 339, the Seikan Tunnel Museum and Tappizaki Lighthouse, which is selected as one of the 50 Best Lighthouse in Japan.

[Access] Take Sotogahama Town loop bus from JR Minmaya Station, and after approx. 30-min ride, get off at last stop.

Yomogita Village
Yomogita Bussankan “Marche Yomogita”
“Yomogita Bussankan –Marche Yomogita”, a product promotion market located next to Tamamatsu Beach, sell local products like fresh vegetables. Also visitors can enjoy eating and shopping with ocean view, and so, drivers will relax and rest after long driving.
