The yokocho is a small district of food stalls; you can eat some of Hachinoe’s tasty meals such as Sushi, Sashimi, grilled fish, Hachinohe Ramen, etc. And you can taste many different brands of Japanese sake including Aomori’s own local brand.
Until winter, every stall in the yokocho takes out their sliding doors and partition walls, to give a more open atmosphere. At night, a lot of people were coming here, so I felt the space between seats in every stall were narrow. However, the narrowness helped me to communicate with other people. Actually, we could chat a lot with some strangers in the stall where we ate dinner.
The yokocho is located at downtown Hachinohe; it is easy to get there for tourists. Thus, it is a good place to communicate for both local people and visitors.
Please come visit these Japanese retro stalls, you will have a good time.
