Located on the north of Towada Hachimantai National Park, Hakkoda Hotel features a grand western style building made completely of logs. The main building is structured like a log cabin, using impressive sized timber all around. With the six other buildings housing the guest rooms, guests can enjoy a comforting stay surrounded by the warmth of wood. The large bath features Aomori beech wood, and bathers can look upon the wilderness outside large windows. The hotel stands inconspicuously in the midst of the surrounding virgin beech forest.
